Problem first · self-funded · hands-on
Every project starts with a problem worth solving
Byte Synthesis is a small, self-funded incubator. We don’t build anything until we know the problem is worth solving.
Pin down the problem
Who has it, how they cope today and why it’s worth solving now
Prototype and test
An answer in front of the people who have the problem
Grow what works
The answers that solve it become live products

ebic.io
PilotEnterprise software
The problem
Reports live in several BI tools while their owners, certifications and lineage live in the data catalog, which few people outside the data team ever open. So people bounce between tools to find a report, can’t tell if it is trustworthy, and ask about it in chat, away from the report.
What we’re building
Your reports and your catalogs, in one app
Pixel Sentinel
PilotMedia & creative
The problem
Artists have to show their work online to sell it, and the moment it is online it gets saved, reposted and scraped for AI training. Watermarks spoil it, right-click blockers are easy to get around, and takedowns come after the damage is done.
What we’re building
Real images for your site, scrambled copies for everyone else
TipRupt
IdeaHospitality
The problem
Customers are asked to tip more often and at higher rates for visits the tip says nothing about, while the money goes to whoever handles the check and service workers live with volatile pay and few benefits.
What we’re building
Tips that follow the whole visit, not the preset button
Full dossiers
