The problem
Customers are asked to tip more often and at higher rates for visits the tip says nothing about, while the money goes to whoever handles the check and service workers live with volatile pay and few benefits.
How we’re solving it
Customers rate each visit in a short survey and tip with tokens. The ratings decide how the tip pool is shared among the kitchen, bar, floor and support staff on that shift, venues get benchmarks from the surveys, and a share of subscriptions funds benefits for service workers.
What changes for the people who have it
A tip that reflects the whole experience and reaches everyone who made it, with a path to benefits for workers who rarely have them.
